Playing the previously winless New Orleans Saints, the uninspired Seattle Seahawks loss another game this past Sunday, 28-17. Although the score fails to indicate it, this game was over by the first half. The scenario: National TV broadcast, playing at home, the weather conditions were ideal…what happened? Why did they lose?

Bad calls by the coaching staff at the end of the game, a weak running game that Coach Holmgren “vowed” would be better this week, and another lackluster performance by QB Matt Hasselbeck. Why does he look so scared in the pocket and why can’t he connect with his receivers?

Amazingly, the Seahawks are still tied atop the standing in the NFC West. That won’t last very long! As I mentioned in my October 8th post, the current coaching staff has lost their edge and innovativeness. It’s time to bring in a new coaching staff and new players, that will re-capture the Seahawks’ winning attitude. The city of Seattle deserves no less!
